viewneo Reports

See exactly what content your screens played, when they played it, and where — all in your viewneo account, with CSV export

What the Reports plugin does

The viewneo Reports plugin is a native analytics layer that gives you full visibility into what is happening across your digital signage network. From a single view in your account, you can see which content ran, on which device, and when — including playlist-level detail and system events for every player. This makes it straightforward to verify campaign playout, audit scheduling accuracy, and diagnose device issues without travelling to each location.

Reports is built on top of viewneo playback data and captures three categories of information: content performance, playlist execution, and device health. For teams managing screens across multiple sites, the device event log is particularly valuable — it shows exactly when something went wrong and on which player, so you can act immediately. It works alongside other operational plugins like the calendar plugin to give a complete picture of your screen activity.

How it works

  1. Open Reports in your account — Navigate to the Reports section of your viewneo dashboard; data is collected automatically by your players.
  2. Choose a report type — Select content, playlist, or device reports and apply filters for date range, device group, or specific device.
  3. Analyse or export — Review the results in the dashboard or download a CSV file for further analysis.

Example use cases

  • Campaign verification — Confirm that a time-sensitive promotion ran exactly as scheduled on every screen at every location.
  • Operational monitoring — Identify players with recurring errors or missed playouts across a large device estate before they affect campaigns.
  • Advertising proof-of-play — Generate downloadable records of content playout times for clients or internal stakeholders who need documented evidence.

Compatible with

  • viewneo 4K SignageBox (optimised; third-party players are not currently supported)
  • viewneo Professional and viewneo Enterprise — bookable per player, transferable to other players
  • Content reports

Capture which content was played, how many times, and when — giving you the data to optimise your scheduling and campaign performance.

  • Playlist reports

Know exactly when and on which devices each playlist ran, including nested playlist detail, so you can verify correct playout across all locations.

  • Device reports

Review the full playback history and system events for every digital signage player to identify and resolve issues quickly.

  • CSV export and download

Download any report as a CSV file for further analysis in your own tools or to share with stakeholders.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Reports plugin cost?
From $7.20 per player and month or from $72.00 per player and year — depending on whether your subscription is billed monthly or yearly — tiered by storage period (up to 3 months, up to 12 months or more than 12 months of history per device). The plugin can be booked from viewneo Professional, is enabled free of charge during the 30-day trial and can be re-assigned to another player at any time. All prices are on the pricing page.
Does the Reports plugin require a separate account or third-party connection?
No. Reports are generated entirely within your viewneo account from data already collected by your players. No external service or API connection is needed.
How is playback data collected and stored?
The viewneo Reports plugin is optimised for the viewneo 4K SignageBox. Each player logs playback events locally and syncs them to your viewneo account for reporting. Data is stored on viewneo servers for the duration covered by your chosen Reports tier.
