What the SharePoint plugin does

The SharePoint plugin for viewneo is a document-sync integration that turns your Microsoft SharePoint library into a live content source for your digital signage network. PDFs, presentations, images, and videos stored in SharePoint sync to your screens automatically — so the content employees see is always the version you just saved, not an outdated file someone forgot to update. There is no separate publishing step.

viewneo handles screen assignment and playlist management, giving you precise control over which SharePoint content appears where and when. If your team also uses Zendesk for customer support, the Zendesk plugin can display live support metrics alongside your SharePoint content on different screens.

How it works

  1. Connect your SharePoint site — Grant viewneo access to your SharePoint Sites using your Microsoft 365 admin credentials. Admin rights are required on the sites from which you want to pull content.
  2. Select files from your document library — Choose PDFs, presentations, images, or videos from SharePoint directly within the viewneo CMS content scheduler.
  3. Assign to screens and publish — viewneo fetches the selected files and displays them on the screens you choose. When the source file changes in SharePoint, viewneo picks up the update automatically.

What does the SharePoint plugin cost?
$3.60 per player and month or $36.00 per player and year — depending on whether your subscription is billed monthly or yearly. The plugin can be booked from viewneo Professional, is enabled free of charge during the 30-day trial and can be re-assigned to another player at any time. All prices are on the pricing page.
Do I need an existing SharePoint account?
Yes. You need Admin rights on the SharePoint Sites section from which you want to select files. The plugin uses your existing Microsoft 365 credentials.
How is data shared between SharePoint and viewneo?
Content is fetched from SharePoint via Microsoft Graph API under a data-processing agreement. In most deployments the lawful basis is contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); as the controller for your data you decide this for your own case. Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS; Microsoft 365 data processing is covered by SCCs for EU customers.
